
On behalf of King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC), it is an honor to welcome you to the “3rd Therapeutic Discoveries Symposium: Insights from COVID19 to Prevent and Cure Diseases” to be held at the King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences Convention Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In alignment with the Saudi Arabia Vision 2030, KAIMRC is leading a transformation in biomedical research at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to transfer basic research into tangible products that impact health and economy. The “3rd Therapeutic Discoveries Symposium: Insights from COVID19 to Prevent and Cure Diseases” symposium provides a unique opportunity for experts around the world to come together, learn and discuss the latest research update on drug discovery and development. The symposium will focus on learnings from COVID19 on how the world come together to efficiently develop safe vaccines and therapies to combat the diseases. These lessons are important for our scientific community to combat other disease. Also we will give importance to the aspect related to new technology using mRNA to develop efficient therapies and use of AI in drug discovery and development. Moreover we will discuss the process of planning a Phase I clinical trial as well as the Kingdom’s readiness to conduct Phase I-V clinical trials. The research discoveries of the Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs and King Abdullah International Medical Research Center will be showcased with the intension of creating a platform and opportunity for exchange and collaboration between local and international researchers on therapeutics discovery.
